Overtime eligibility, rounding, paid breaks, rest periods and payroll rules vary by country, contract and employer. Verify payroll and legal decisions against the applicable policy and official records.

Time card calculations

A working hours calculator for daily shifts and weekly timesheets

Hours between two times

Calculate elapsed working time from clock-in and clock-out entries, including overnight shifts.

Break deduction calculator

Subtract unpaid lunch, rest or split-shift breaks independently for every day or shift.

Weekly overtime summary

Compare total worked time with a configurable weekly threshold and optional pay multiplier.

Long-tail use cases

Timesheet, time card, payroll and billable-hours workflows

Working hours calculator with lunch break

Enter start and finish times, then deduct a different unpaid break for each shift. This is useful for office schedules, retail shifts, warehouse teams and flexible working patterns.

Time card calculator with overtime

Set the weekly standard-hours threshold and overtime multiplier used by your policy. The result clearly separates regular time and overtime without presenting configurable assumptions as legal rules.

Decimal hours calculator for payroll

Switch from hours and minutes to decimal hours for payroll entry, client billing, project costing, invoicing and spreadsheet exports.

Global workflow without duplicate country tools

The arithmetic is globally useful, while overtime thresholds, paid breaks and employment rules remain user-configurable. Dedicated country tools should only be added when a distinct legal workflow and search intent justify them.

FAQ

Working hours and timesheet questions

How do I calculate working hours between two times?

Enter the start time and end time for a day or shift. The calculator subtracts the unpaid break and shows the worked duration in hours and minutes or decimal hours.

Can this calculate an overnight shift?

Yes. When the end time is earlier than the start time, the calculator treats the shift as continuing into the following day.

How do I subtract a lunch break from working hours?

Enter the unpaid break length in minutes for each row. The break is subtracted from the elapsed time between the start and end times.

Can I calculate weekly overtime?

Yes. Enter your standard weekly-hours threshold. Time above that configurable threshold is shown as overtime. This does not determine legal overtime eligibility.

Can I estimate wages from a timesheet?

Enter an optional hourly rate and overtime multiplier. The workspace estimates regular pay, overtime pay and gross pay without assuming a currency.

Does this support decimal hours?

Yes. Switch the result display from hours and minutes to decimal hours for payroll exports, invoicing and spreadsheet entry.

Are timesheet records uploaded anywhere?

No. The calculation runs locally in your browser. Use your organisation's approved system for official time records and payroll submission.
